Last night we attended the Osseo Wrestling Banquet at the Osseo Legion as Community Partner Honoree.
The wrestlers of all ages from middle school to seniors were impressive in their ability to speak and in the way that they displayed team spirit. The coaches couldn’t say enough about their work ethic and how the seniors willingly and without being asked, mentored the younger and new recruits. They also spoke about their support for their team mates at all levels. It was truly a night of inspiration seeing these young athletes accept awards for most improved, state entrants, career milestones, and especially for maintaining grade point averages. The managers were all obviously much appreciated by their teammates and coaches. The dedication and commitment of the coaches to develop the wrestlers both physically and personally was very obvious, as was the admiration of the wrestlers for their coaches and parents for their support.
Kudos to this great program that welcomes new and experienced wrestlers of all ages.
